Sideline cheerleading is open to Mt. Lebanon athletes entering 1st through 6th grade during the 2026 - 2027 school year.
1st/2nd sideline squads will cheer for Mt. Lebanon Flag Football games. Flag games are played at the MTL HS rockpile, Cedar Blvd. fields, and Penn Woods Academy.
3rd/4th and 5th/6th sideline squads cheer for Mt. Lebanon Youth Tackle Football games - home and away. Home football games are typically held at Mellon Field and Mt. Lebanon High School Stadium. Squads also cheer for away games and in past seasons have traveled to districts such as Chartiers Valley and Thomas Jefferson.
Sideline squads are grouped based on grade:
- 1st/2nd Squad
- 3rd/4th Squad
- 5th/6th Squad
The sideline cheer schedule starts with cheer camp in August and runs through early November. After cheer camp, sideline squads will have practice 1 day per week. The practice day is set by the Head Coach. Families are encouraged to keep all Saturday's from mid/late August to early November free for football games.

Cheer Camp - August 3-7 Greentree Sports Plex, 5:00-9:00pm- staggered start time
MTL Community Day - August 15, time TBD, Mt. Lebanon HS Stadium
Cheer Photos - August 19, 5:00-7:00pm, Mt. Lebanon Main Park/Rec Center
